The economic cooperation of China and Korea has achieved great
development since the last decade as illustrated by the total trade
volume of one hundred billion dollars between two countries in 2005.
China has become Korea¡¯s largest trade partner and Korea has become
China¡¯s third investing country.
Along with many Korean manufacturing companies coming into China,
their logistics companies showed great interest in the knowledge of
entry into China¡¯s logistics market, especially on its competition
status, the related policies and rules of China¡¯s logistics
management and how to select partners in China etc. So far, Shanghai
YZJ Logistics Management Consulting Co., Ltd has
successfully conducted fives training courses for Korean logistics
managers in total. On 13th Dec its vice chair of the board, Prof.
Zhou Liangyi was invited by Korean Chamber of Commerce to
participate in the Seminar of China¡¯s Logistics Market and also give
a presentation.
The Seminar of China¡¯s Logistics Market was co-sponsored by Korean
Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Logistics Center of Korea
University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in the newly built
Lecture Hall of Korean Chamber of Commerce & Industry, which is at
the rank of Seoul Top Ten office buildings. The Chairman of Korean
Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Mr. Sang-Yeol KIM presided over the
Seminar and had a friendly conversation with other lecturers.
The special lecture of ¡°Key
Factors for Korean Logistics Companies¡¯ Entry into Chinese Logistics
Market and Positioning of Partners¡± from Prof. Zhou Liangyi focused
not only on China¡¯s competition status but also on those issues of
Korean managers¡¯ concern which included the timing, areas, proper
industries of entry into China and how to enter, by self
construction or merging or joint ventures. Then good visions were
expressed by all from China and Korea after the meeting.
